DOG EATER is Anne-Maries interpretation of what a contemporary Filipino punk movement would look like. “Rebelling against racism and Eurocentrism, I highlight the beauty of Filipino dress and craftsmanship. Designing with both indigenous textiles from the Philippines as well as ‘first world country’ fabrics sourced in the Netherlands, I show that Filipino dress is a formidable force in itself and just as much on an equal playing field.”
